And baby makes.....6!

I've been waiting a couple weeks to post this on here..had to make sure the family knew about it first. Isaac and I were very surprised to discover that I am pregnant. needless to say Isaac will be getting snipped before this baby is born. We were really upset at first (I cried for like the first week) lol. Now I'm okay with it...maybe even looking forward to it. Wisht his morning sickness would go away though...actually it's more like all day sickness some days. The kids are so excited. Gregory makes me a piece of bread and peanut butter every morning to help my tummy. Emilie has been extra helpful with cleaning. Yesterday Isaac let me sleepin and when I woke up the kids had cleaned the living room and kitchen and were mopping and vacuuming. That's almost better than getting diamonds as a gift. Anyway I've got 3 boys playing in Greg's room right now and I hear alot of door slamming so off i go to deal with the boys...

Busy weekend

Well this weekend was a good but fantastic weekend. My dear friend Steve married his long time gf Becky on Saturday. It was a beautiful ceremony. They had their ceremony and the reception at the devonian gardens. It's really cool because they close the whole gardens down for the day so you have the whole place to yourselves. Becky looked absolutely stunning in her gown..absolutely stunning. I'm really glad I was there for the wedding. It was also nice to see my Isaac dressed so so nice. God he was hansome. Can't wait to marry him. :) Only a year and a couple months till that big day. Enough about weddings...though I could say a whack more about Steve and Becky's wedding...it really was beautiful.

Joshua is now officially walking! He still looks like he's going to fall ovre all the time but it's so darn cute. He's been using a few more words lately like....mine, go (when greg is bugging him), and no. See how positive those words are hahaha. He now seems to think that he is the king of this house and we are only here to serve him. And god help us if we touch something that belongs to him....

We got a trampoline from a neighbour a couple weeks ago and Gregory absolutely loves it. He's so crazy on it though. He's got no fear in him at all. His birthday is coming up on Canada Day. I can't believe he's going to be 4 already. He's growing up so quickly. We're going to be having his birthday party at our house on the 14th of july. He really liked the idea of having his friends over to play in the sprinklers and such so that's what we're going for....and a big ol bbq of course. ;)

Emilie has been missing her friends from daycare like crazy lately. She really enjoyed our brief time there. Seems to be all I hear about some days lol.

Well I should run...seems my children need to be tucked in again..

We're still alive...

Hi guys

Wow I seem to be neglecting this blog thing lol. Not intentionally I assure you. We've been a busy bunch lately. Isaac is working a million and a half hours these days. He's working his day job and then working till he falls asleep...on websites. I have just been busy with the kids. So happy to see this snow melting so Joshua can play outside too. Been spending most of my afternoon today emailing everybody I could possibly think of to get Hedley tickets. They're playing in Banff on the weeknd of my bday. Let me tell ya...finding tickets is proving to be much harder than I anticipated. This is so very unfair. If anybody out there has spare tickets I'll gladly trade my children for them...they're really cute. LOL Okay that's a joke...please dont' come steal my children. Wait till they're in their teens. Joshua is still not walking yet...though he can stand right up from sitting. I think he could walk he just doesn't want to cause he likes being carried. I don't blame him. Emilie and Gregory both hand pink eye and very sore throats this week. Poor kids...they were so uncomfortable. Totally kicking myself yesterday that my camera is broken. There's this hole in our yard which apparently used to be for a large trampoline to fit in. It's like 8 feet wide i guess and probably 15 inches deep in the middle. Well while making dinner yesterday the kids went out in the back to play. I looked out he window to see what they were doing and there's emilie in this hole...this hole was filled to the top with water. Apparently when all the snow melted in our yard it went into this hole. Anyway poor emilie was actually stuck in the middle of this hole. Her boot would not budge from the mud. It was so funny you should have seen her face. I didnt' have any boots on so I tried just pulling her out by reaching out to grab her hand...that just caused her to lose her balance and fall on her butt. Oh my god it was so funny. I still ended up walking into the puddle anyway to get her out. Too funny.

Anyway i better go get josh up before he starts beating the wall again

I've found my mojo!!

My scrapbooking mojo that is. lol. I've been avoiding scrapbooking like the plague lately. Occasionally I'll pull out a pic match some papers to it...and that's as far as i get. Last night I finally started putting together a layout...too bad I can't finish it right now as my floors need some serious cleaning once Joshua has his nap. So I've been trying to teach Joshua his body parts. He can point out his nose, mouth, and his buh-button (belly button)...however I think he thinks that toes means tickle because everytime I say toes he starts giggling and scrunching up his toes like i'm gonna tickle them. what a cutie! I can't believe it's almost time to register Emilie for kindergarten. She's growing up sooo fast. You should see her drawings. They're so cute. Lately she's been drawing Lady and the Tramp alot. Totally looks like 2 doggies too. Gregory has really taken up singing lately. Anytime there's a singing show on tv he stands directly infront of the tv and sings his little heart out. This time last year he refused to sing outloud. Well I'd better get started on the floors...ciao!

So I said to myself....

..."if he won't do it as fast as I'd like, then I'll do it myself" So tell me, why do I ever listen to myself????? The bathroom seems to be moving along a little slowly...of course we did have a rather busy weekend. So today I decided to get the walls ready myself. Now i'm covered in drywall dust and tired as heck. Sure takes alot out of you to sand walls. And i'm way too picky. There's a few spots on the wall that I know Isy would ignore but i just don't like 'em so i'm gonna refill them and sand them. I know that if I don't i'll be sitting in the tub one day staring at the flawed parts i should have fixed. But enough about the bathroom...

I went to Kathy's babyshower yesterday, it was really nice. She got some really beautiful stuff. Victoria is gonna be dressed so cute all the time. Can't wait to meet her.

Well this is gonna be a short one...gotta get those walls done.

It snowed in my room!

Ever have one of those days where it's just one extreme to the next? Well I've had 2 of those. Yesterday things were either really great or really crappy. (ie. either the kids were hugging each other and playing my little ponies or beating the snot out of eachother). Yesterday Isaac took half the day off cause his tummy was bugging him and then we ended up going out to get a few more things for the bathroom. We officially have everything to finish it now except a mirror or medicine cabinet. I'm being picky i know exactly what i want now i just need to find it at the right price. Anyway so that was good...great actually. Later while picking up Mike from work I got a call from isaac telling me Gregory dropped our digital camera on the floor :( It's totally unfixable. I was crushed...we use it so much. I'm a scrapbooker i need a camera! This sucks so much i could just cry. I didn't bother getting mad at the poor boy though he felt so so bad. All he wanted to do was take a picture and he had the strap on his wrist like daddy told him too. Anyway so that sucked. Today was alright I was tired all day. Josh was really clingy so it was hard to get much done while he was awake. And gregory oh gregory every time i turned my head he was either doing something to make his sister screech or doing something to make me screech....which brings me to the snow in my bedroom. Josh and Greg are now sharing a room so at nap time if greg needs a nap and josh is sleeping greg goes and lays in my bed. Well today he did that and dumped an entire bottle of baby powder all over my floor, clean laundry, my bed....everywhere! Oy! Sure smells pretty now. Oh great...i just rolled up my rim on my timmy's cup and i didn't win. From bad to worse i tell ya...lol. Okay perhaps i'm a little tired and over dramatic. On that fine not i'm off to bed now. Hope everyones week is going splendid.

Happy snow day everyone!

Doesn't the snow look gorgeous outside? I just love days that are sunny and snowy. They make for perfect snowman building days. We attempted a snowman yesterday but the snow just wasn't sticky enough. Today should be a much better day for that. We took Joshua outside yesterday. It was the first time he's really been outside to play in the snow this year. He didn't enjoy it too much. His snowsuit is pretty stiff so he kept falling over, and we couldn't keep his mittens on him. Em, Greg and Rebecca all had a great time in the snow though. I did take them outside for a rather selfish reason though, I wanted snow pictures to scrapbook. LOL. Speaking of scrapbooking I registered for CKU (scrapbooking university/conference type thingy). I'm extra excited because I got all the classes I wanted including 2 by Donna Downey (she's my all time favourite scrapbooking hero)

You wouldn't believe how busy Isaac has been lately working on webpages...since he's started with Airdrie Online he's just had site after site to work on. I've been pretty impressed too with what he's created.

Well Joshua is now on my lap and making this very difficult so i'm going to quit while i'm ahead. Hope everyone is having a super week!!

Oh thank goodness...

I was so happy to wake up today and finally feel better. I spent the past few days rather ill. Yesterday wasn't horrible but I sure wasn't myself. Not a good time to be sick either. The kids completely trashed the kitchen while i was hugging the toilet on monday. Let me just say that icing sugar, flour and other assorted baking goods make for one sticky mess on the kitchen floor. Luckily Isaac's boss is a doll and told him he could come home to take care of the kids so i could get better. I'm totally bummed that I missed my first class at Haley's store. At least it was something that she already knew how to do or I'd feel much worse. Valentines day was not the most romantic day either however Isaac did get me something really special. I got a really pretty plant from my mom for Valentines day. It's just what we needed to brighten up the living room. Isaacs mom got me a totally cool stamp set from Sheepriver Scrapbook Co. It's a magnetic word stamp kit. It's got like 50 different words and you can line them all up on this magnetic base...totally cool. I've been eyeing them up since I used them at her open house.

While I was sick we decided to try having joshua sleep in gregory's room. I'm so glad we did because he slept through the night! Last night was their first night falling asleep together. At first they played and played but eventually they did fall asleep so that is just great. Now we need to get a smaller bed in their so joshuas playpen won't take up the whole room.

Well my joshua is napping and em and greg are playing in em's room so i'm going to go do some dishes.

Hoooray its Friday!

Boy oh boy the past few days have been long ones. It started with Gregory puking on the carpet....he really only got sick twice over the day and then was over the bug. Then Emilie got it the day after that. She had it good. Poor little girl. She's finally just starting to look better today. Joshua got it yesterday. He only got sick the once but he still seems like he's not quite feeling right. He's very snuggly, which i won't complain about. Neither Isaac or I have got it yet (knock on wood). I'm hoping we both completely miss it so we can get our bathroom done this weekend. Isaacs going to try to finish the tub and surround and i'm going to start peeling up all the wood from the walls in the kitchen and dining room. We're making our country looking home not so country looking anymore lol. Now to pick the colors for the bathroom and the kitchen....that's a tough one. I know that there will be no baby blue anywhere! and probably no green either. Okay well there might be some green but not like the bright forest kinda green i've got going on in here now. Well after a few days of being a nurse now i need to be a house keeper...my house is a disaster! Happy weekend everyone!

what's that white stuff?

Nope it's not dandruff...looks like snowflakes too me. Normally I'd be disappointed as I'm getting really excited about doing some serious gardening this year. HOWEVER...I've got some gorgeous scrapbooking goodies that will only work for snow pictures. Not to mention a totally cool snowman building kit just crying to be played with. It's funny Emilie came into my room this morning and said " do you hear that mom? that's wind and when it's windy just like this it's gonna snow". Well by 10 am i was convinced she was very wrong as it was bright and sunny. Turns out my little weather girl was right.

I woke up this morning feeling like crap...thanks to my smart isaac feeding me some gravel before i fell back to sleep i seem to be feeling much better. Poor little Max (one of our kittens) isn't having such a good day either..he seems to have hurt his back paw . He can't even walk on it. Sure is a quiet day without max running around everywhere.

Well folks the dishes are calling my name...

Who stole my hair brush?

I try to keep 3 brushes in the cupboard, so if one goes missing I always have a back up. Oh but what to do when all 3 go missing....well this morning I had to resort to using a my little pony brush. Let me tell ya those things hurt when you have the slightest tangles.

So yesterday was so much fun you just have no idea. The morning started out okay. Spent the morning doing some cleaning. And then just before we were ready to go to the post office Gregory started complaining of a stomach ache. I figured he'd just eaten too much for lunch or something....yeah not so much. Poor guy ended up getting sick on the carpet. Poor little dude just cried and cried and then slept. He was sick a few more times until about 9pm and then he seemed to perk up a fair bit. He slept through the night and seems to be feeling great today. Thank goodness I was not looking forward to that again. Joshua was really confused by the whole thing. I think he was having trouble understanding why gregory was laying down and not running around. He kept climbing on the couch and hitting Gregory as if to say "hey get up".

I cut Joshua's hair for the first time. Took some serious bribery to get that little guy to stop crawling away. lol. He sure does look cute though. Looks like a little toddler.

Emilie was so helpful yesterday. She kept offering to feed gregory and get him drinks. Funny how that mothering instinct even affects little girls.

Well I've got some mega laundry to fold.

Let's get naked!

LOL so this isn't going to be the x-rated blog you thought. Our tub is officially in. It's surround isn't up but with some plastic sheets on the walls isaac and the kids were able to have their first bath in the new tub. That is one nice tub...no crusty moldy stuff falling in whenever you bump the wall....aaah so much better. I'll be sampling the new tub tonight once desperate housewives is over.

This weekend has been a GREAT weekend! Friday night mom and I went to Haley's open house at her store. We had sooooo much fun! We drank some wine, helped with make n takes...and just had so much fun. I'm so proud of her!! She's done a fantastic job. Though I am very sad that she still hasn't phoned me back from Sunday. Brian did tell me he wasn't gonna tell her i called...i thought he was joking though. sniff sniff...guess he really is just that mean.

Saturday we went to the winter festival here in Irricana. They had all sorts of fun games for the kids and some prizes too. Have I mentioned yet how much I love this town!! Saturday afternoon my aunty myrna, uncle nelson and aunty karlyn came out. That was nice.

Today was kinda slow to start. Went and had a deliscious lunch with my mom at Boston Pizza...their chipolte chicken salad is sooo yummy. After that I got to go shopping with the kids for some pipes....that was not as much fun as you're probably imagining. Picture 2 toddlers running up and down aisles while your trying to find something that you've never even seen before.

Well that's our weekend in a nutshell. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!

Tomorrow's the big day...

Tomorrow night Haley is hosting her first ever open house at her store. She's going to have make and takes ( translation: you get to make something that you get to take home with you), food, drinks (even alcohol hooooray) and cool door prizes. It's going to be so cool, and i bet it'll be good on sales for the night too. The poor girl seems a little stressed out though trying to get everything together. I think it's going to go amazingly!

Right now Isaac is downstairs trying to sauder a pipe back together. Today was a busy day for him...he took out her tub, some dryway from around it. At some point he got a leak downstairs in a pipe and when he went to fix it...well it got worse. Hopefully he'll get it under control soon...i miss having running water. lol. Anyone know a cheap plumber??? I'm so just joking isaac...seriously just joking.

Well it's off to bed for my little ones....

Stop stealing your brothers fruit loops!

Geez poor little baby Joshua. Usually he gets toast or some canned fruit for breakfast, but this morning I decided to treat him with fruit loops. He's eating them very slowly, but enjoying every last morsel. Of course his older sister and brother are always happy to help him eat yummy foods and that's just what they're doing. "here joshua let me help you with those cereals" Little bums...stop stealing from the baby.

Well our big news of the week is.....(drum roll please)



We got a new bath tub!! Hooray. It was actually much cheaper than i anticipated. It was $300 for a soaker tub. That's really not too bad. No bells or whistles. No jets or anything, but personally I don't really like jets. We did pick some really nice faucets and shower head to go with it. Now our bathroom will only be half blue. Yucky ugly blue bathroom...yuck! I'll have to post a pic cause this bathroom really is ugly. Blue tub, blue toilet, blue sink, blue walls. TOO MUCH blue! We also installed a dishwasher in the kitchen this weekend (when i say we i mean isaac). This house is really coming together now. We got some gorgeous kitchen cupboards from Isaacs bosses girlfriend this weekend. I'm really looking forward to ripping ours out and replacing them. Anybody know where to get some cheap but nice counter top? I so need to start choosing some paint colors for the bathroom and kitchen. Oh the choices the choices.

To Okotoks and Back Again

Oh boy what a busy day today. We started the day running out to Airdrie to bring Isaac some money and buy him some lunch (lucky boy eh). Then headed to Okotoks to visit my best friend Haley's GORGEOUS scrapbooking store. God I love her store. Had some fun looking at her new stuff there ( I swear Isaac I didn't buy a thing, not even paper) If you ever find yourself in Okotoks stop by her store it's called Sheepriver scrapbook co. Absolutely beautiful store. After a few more stops in the city we headed home. How stupid was I to try to leave the city during rush hour though. YUCK! So happy we don't live in the city anymore. Anyway the kiddos are now in bed and I am working on making Emilie's birthday cake. Wow what a task that is. I've got all the right tools now so hopefully it goes smoothly. Any cake bakers out there wanna come and decorate this thing for me? lol Emilie got some makeup yesterday from Papa for her birthday. She did a fantastic job today painting her eyelids with some very very bright pink eye shadow. I should get the pic from Haley...super cute! Poor Gregory slipped today and landed on a tree branch. Scratched his poor little belly. Joshua threw a good little fit today in Haleys store. He was munching on some fake berries that Haley had decorating her store(yes i was doing a fantastic job of watching him), anyway when i tried to take them away he got so upset. He had big huge crocodile tears and everything. That's so unlike him.

So tomorrow's the big day. The pool party. It looks like we're going to have a full house. 9 kids including mine, plus parents, my parents, isaacs mom and sis, and my uncle peter and his girlfriend Kelly. I'm so excited that my uncle will be joining us....i've hardly seen him in the past few years and i'm just so excited that i get to see them.

Well folks time to go get my 2nd sheet of cake out of the oven.

Today's the day

That I start this blog. I won't guarantee that this is going to be the most exciting thing you'll read this year, but i'll try to keep it far from boring.

Today Emilie woke up 5 years old! It's her birthday today and she decided that since it's her birthday it's only appropriate that she wear the fanciest party dress she has, all day! How many of you put on a tuxedo or gown for your birthday, when your just spending the day at home? We're not doing too much to celebrate tonight. I've made some cupcakes for her for after dinner, but that's about it. The big shin dig will be this saturday at the Holiday Inn express in Airdrie. We've rented the whole pool and party room for 3 hours. It's going to be so sooooooo much fun. Emilie reminds me every day how many days until her big party. She has decided she wants a hello kitty cake for her birthday, which I am going to attempt to make. (stay tuned for pictures of that failure). I make pretty things with paper...not flour.

Mister Gregory has spent his whole day in his superman pj's. He refuses to get out of them. Funny how kids go from worshipping big purple dinosaurs to super hero's. I'm hoping he'll spill some water on them or something so I can get them in the washing machine.

Joshua seems to have sprouted yet another tooth. That's 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom. Though right now you can only see 3 on the top and a big gap in the front where the new tooth will grow. My little man still hasn't learned how to walk. And quite frankly I don't think he really wants to. He loves crawling.

Isaac has been working like a mad man at Classic Autographics. He worked till 11pm last night. Poor guy, I don't know how he can work that much and still want to go back in the morning. I guess that's what happens when you really like your job. LOL

As for me I've been scrapbooking a bit today and cleaning. Oh I'll be teaching some classes at my very dear friend Haley's store sheepriverscrapbookco.com in February. I'm so excited and so darn nervous too. But how cool will it be to teach something that I love so much to people who love it as well.

Well there seems to be a vacuum calling my name so I'd better go pull him out of the closet before he gets cranky.
